About the Song:
Someday when I’m a king is actually a letter I wrote when I was working as an OFW. It’s about the simple dreams & aspirations of a common folk . The struggles of the working class, & the realizations that “happiness” is an inherent right not a privilege like royalty. The song is about contentment, and upholding the things u valued in a materialistic world. Lastly, it a heartfelt promise, to live & love in pure modesty, & u don’t need a $50M wedding like prince Harry, to build a kingdom you’ll call HOME.

LYRICS
SOMEDAY WHEN I AM A KING
Verse I
i can’t claim it as my birth-right
but my cap will be my crown
the broom will be my scepter
and the stool will be my throne
the dogs will be the horses
with a prince & princess of our own
the shack will be our castle
& a kingdom we’ll call home
we don’t need a red carpet
in our humble royal ball
we’ll be rulers in our slippers
dancing in our wooden floor
in our simple regal banquet
let’s forget the silver spoon
promise i will cook your favorite
& we’ll dine under the moon
(chorus:)
please hold on my queen
soon we’ll live the dream
in a different realm
our fate will change
it’s more than just pretend
‘coz in our hearts domain
you & i will reign
someday when i am king!
we don’t need a bed of roses
the curtain is our purple robe
my arms will be your mattress
i’m your blanket from the cold
in our rags we’ll look majestic
as we lord our little world
our love will be our treasure
more than all the pearls and gold
we have fought so many battles
to earn our palace in the sky
you have been my shield , my armor
and you never left my side
now it’s only fair my lady that
i will give you the life
the one that you deserve
and the one that we’re deprived
